Social Media's Impact

Millions of users of social media means more customers for you!
Social media sites are all the rage these days. Many people are still learning what the benefits
can be in using these sites for their business. We all know we do not like to be straight out
sold to. How many times have you walked away from a pesky salesman in the department store,
especially if you are just browsing or price shopping. With social media, you can reach thousands
of new people from around the world in a fun and entertaining way.

Take Twitter for example. If you are short on time, or just want to leave a suggestion or tip
with a link to more information for those who are interested in the subject, this application
is the perfect method. In 140 characters, you can broadcast your message for those who are following
along and look forward to your insights.

Facebook is another biggie. This one can be used for more of an indepth relationship building
tactic with your friends/fans. You can post videos, articles, and even link to your own blog.
This can save a lot of time, if you post something on your blog, it will automatically post
to your Facebook account if you install the right plugin. Then when you want to take a break,
you can play a game.

YouTube is an excellent source for posting business lessons and how to videos you have created
regarding your business, products, or new features you have available.

With all of the social media sites out there, it is often a wonder on how many people are available
to be reached. Gary Hayes is an internet marketer who has created a social media counter that
pulls in data from several social media sources and displays live stats for the reader. With
this cool tool, you no longer have to worry about how many people out there you can reach.
Isn’t this exciting news? What could you do with the information? You can go over to Gary’s
site right now and copy the code he provides to throw onto your own website. Your visitors
can be impressed when they visit your site, and will start to understand the advantages
available in participating in social media communities.

If you have not started using social media sites yet as part of your business marketing methods,
you really have no idea how much money you could be leaving on the table. You can use these
sites for attracting visitors to your own site, building an email list, or just for networking
purposes. There are many ways to use social media sites, and why would you pass up on something
that can be both fun and profitable?
